Jennifer Shook

Attorney

Jennifer Shook is a nonprofit tax attorney specializing in issues affecting exempt organizations. Prior to joining Sector Law (formerly Schauble Law Group), she was a tax associate at one of the nation’s top law firms. Her background working with emerging companies is valuable when supporting founders and charitable organizations during their early stages, ensuring they have the tools they need to operate and grow. She applies her high energy and attention to detail on matters related to federal and state tax compliance, complex transactions, and everything inbetween.

Jennifer regularly works with clients in the following areas:

Jennifer is the principal author of the Sector Law Nonprofit Law Blog and a contributing author to A Guide for Colorado Nonprofit Organizations. Jennifer has presented at the National Scholarship Providers Association annual conference on the topics of lobbying, advocacy, and legal issues related to scholarship providers.

Earlier in her career, Jennifer was a tax associate with Cooley Godward. Jennifer is a member of the Forum of Women Enterpreneurs and a founding member of the nonprofit Wellstone Action! that focuses on the training and development of candidates for public office.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, learning to white water raft, and traveling with her husband and three teenagers.
